PP supplements shared aircraft information with your own local databases: BaseStation.sqb and FlightRoute.sqb.
As of v1.1.0, you can supply your own BaseStation.sqb and FlightRoute.sqb databases for PPm. If not available, PPm relies wholly on the shared PP server information, which may be incomplete for certain aircraft.
Please visit Nic Storey's website for an excellent video tutorial on supplying your own BaseStation / FlightRoute databases.

Most military aircraft shared on PP are not explicitly transmitting their position information. The position must be inferred through multilateration (Mlat). In order to see these Mlat aircraft, you must be a Master User (MU). Your MU licence counts both for your PP and PPm installations. A MU licence may be purchased here.
Your Master User (MU) licence is valid for both your PP and PPm installations. If you registered your MU and PPm licences with the same email address, you will start seeing Mlat aircraft within 30 minutes. If not, please drop a line to COAA stating both email addresses.
SkyAR requires both location estimate and hardware inertial sensors. If your GPS is enabled, your mobile device doesn't have the hardware sensors necessary for SkyAR. Several devices for which SkyAR doesn't work are listed in the issues list.
Under certain circumstances,SkyAR mode may work if the device's GPS is disabled, forcing position to be estimated using WiFi. From your device's Settings:
  • Select Location → Mode
  • Select Battery saving
The PlanePlotter server sends a limited number of planes on each update. With Positionless aircraft enabled, the Map View may correspondingly show fewer aircraft. Please see the PlanePlotter Wiki for more details.
